Clos Caillou, Chateauneuf Du Pape Safres other_regions_australia Still a little grating onI loved the two 2005s from Clos du Caillou and this team knocked it out of the park in this vintage. The 2005 Chteauneuf du Pape les Safres is still inky colored, with fabulous aromas and flavors of sweet blackberries, currants, toasted spice, camphor and licorice. Full bodied, ripe and layered, with sweet tannin, this is a borderline fruit bomb that dishes out loads of pleasure. Much more open and exuberant than when I tasted it earlier this year, it
