The hard anodized surface resists scoring far better than a standard finish, and the PTFE coating cuts friction between the body wall and the piston, which keeps damping smooth and consistent over a longer service life. Worth it on an 8S truck where the shocks take sustained high speed abuse. Fits: Traxxas XRT (78086 4) and XRT Ultimate (78097 4). Direct replacement
